Among her passions for providing primary and urgent care to the community, she has a strong clinical interest and experience in Women’s health. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two little boys.
Rebecca Cowart is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Valdosta State University in 2001. She continued her education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2013.
Prior to joining Perisseia Primary Care and Wellness, she was employed as an FNP at an Internal Medicine practice in Suwanee. Before her career as a Nurse Practitioner, she worked for twelve years as a Labor and Delivery nurse at the busiest L & D unit in the nation. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
