Our office offers in-house ultrasound of the thyroid, abdomen, liver, urinary tract, bladder, uterus and ovaries, and male urinary tract.
What is ultrasound?
Ultrasound is the use of sound above the upper limit of human hearing as a pressure wave. The upper-frequency limit of human hearing is around 20 kHz, though for many it may be less. Ultrasound operates at 20 kHz and above. Our in-house ultrasound has a wide variety of medical uses from imaging, also known as sonography, to the detection and treatment of soft-tissue injuries.
For additional information on ultrasound’s medical use, you may read “Ultrasound” on the Healthline website.
